PRIVACY POLICY

How we handle personal information.

Last updated

[MoreCo Pty Ltd] (ABN [00 000 000 000]), trading as MoreCo, is committed to handling personal information responsibly and in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Who we are

MoreCo is an Australian-led talent company. We recruit remote professionals for Australian businesses and support the working relationship after placement. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean [MoreCo Pty Ltd], and "you" means anyone whose personal information we handle: business clients and their staff, candidates and placed professionals, and visitors to this website.

What we collect

We collect only what we need to do the work you have asked us to do. Depending on how you deal with us, that may include:

  • Contact details: your name, email address, phone number and, for business enquiries, the name of your business.
  • Enquiry details: what your business needs help with, the role you are looking to fill, and your notes from a call or form.
  • Candidate details: your work history, skills, the kind of role you are looking for, and any LinkedIn or portfolio URL you choose to give us.
  • Placement details: information needed to run an engagement, such as working hours, systems access and performance feedback.
  • Technical details: standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type and the pages requested, kept for security and to keep the site running.

How we collect it

Most of what we hold, you give us directly: through the forms on this website (talent proposal, book a call, talent application), by email or phone, or in a meeting. For candidates, we may also collect information from referees you nominate and from publicly available professional profiles you point us to.

Where we need sensitive information, such as a right-to-work check, we will ask for your consent first and explain why it is needed.

Why we use it

We use personal information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and arrange a call.
  • Define a role, recruit for it and present a shortlist to a client.
  • Match candidates with roles and manage the placement afterwards.
  • Provide ongoing support, run payroll and infrastructure where that forms part of the engagement, and resolve issues.
  • Send you information about our services that we think is relevant. You can opt out at any time by replying or by contacting us.
  • Meet our legal obligations and protect our rights.

Who we share it with

Recruitment involves sharing. When you are a candidate, we share your profile with prospective clients so they can decide whether to interview you; when you are a client, we share the role and the working context with candidates. We do not sell personal information to anyone.

We also use service providers to run our business: hosting, email, scheduling, customer relationship tools and payroll. They are permitted to use your information only to provide those services to us.

Overseas disclosure

Our talent is global, so some of the people we recruit and support live outside Australia, and some of the service providers we use store data outside Australia. Where we disclose personal information overseas, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is handled in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles. Our Australian team remains your point of contact.

Storage and security

We store personal information in reputable cloud services with access limited to the people who need it. We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect it from misuse, loss, interference and unauthorised access, and we keep it only as long as it is needed for the purposes described here or as the law requires. When it is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.

Access and correction

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days, and we will not charge you for making the request. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.

Cookies and analytics

This website does not currently run third-party analytics or advertising trackers. It uses only what is needed to serve pages. If that changes, we will update this policy and, where the law requires, ask for your consent first.

Complaints

If you believe we have mishandled your personal information, please contact us first using the details below. We take complaints seriously and will acknowledge yours promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it last changed. Material changes will be flagged on this page.
